During the COVID-19 lockdown, I joined forces with the Junior Library Guild to host a weekly webcast for young students across America. Each week—for 20 weeks—I wrote a chapter about current events and how they affected a (fictional) young boy and his family struggling—both emotionally and financially—to survive the pandemic. The best part? I took topics straight from the news and put them in the story so everything in the story was happening in real time. Then, on-line live, I would read the chapter out loud and ask listeners to weigh in on the next week’s storylines. (Example: Kids got to vote to see if Aiden and his family adopted a cat or a dog, what Aiden and his sister might name the pet, and so on.] It was a super fun experience, and one that ended up with a finished book—which is available below for FREE. Hope you like it.

BLINK is a project close to my heart for a few reasons. First, because while it is sci-fi in genre, it is an allergy for my struggle with depression, anxiety, and panic attacks. It’s also my first finished indie comics project. No one wanted to publish it, so I put it online and now it’s my first webcomic. I remain super proud of it and am currently quietly tying it into another big project of mine. I’ll let ya know when that’s done. :)
